About Confessions of a Classic Soul
Fueled by the Passion of a Classic Soul
“Young people have never heard a note of good music. They can’t appreciate George Michael or The Four Seasons. They haven’t watched wholesome TV shows. They couldn’t tell Bonanza from The Big Valley.” What if these beliefs were misconceptions? Confessions of a Classic Soul aims to preserve the good ol’ days. Blogs featured on this site are meant for the Old Soul, whether you long for the days of old or whether you love them despite never having lived through them. We’re here for every Old Soul, bridging the gap between generations and keeping the past alive and kicking.
For the Old Soul by an Old Soul
I’ve always been fueled by the passion of my old soul personality, but fitting in with my own age group has always been challenging. “She’s mature for her age,” my teachers would say. “You’re level-headed and practical,” my college roommate would later comment. Yes, an old soul indeed, but what do you do when you find yourself stuck in the ’80s and no one has a clue what one-hit wonder band you’re talking about? What if you’re the only one who loves classic horror movies or who thinks typewriters and phone booths are the bee’s knees?
Confessions of a Classic Soul (COACS) is a culmination of the good ol’ days and how the old and rare still exist in the modern world. Nostalgia lives and breathes here, and I hope you’ll find it quite groovy.
